About
Welcome to Verbal Gymnastics, a blog that’s more or less about music.

Taylor- taylor@verbalgym.com
Taylor is a student at Indiana University studying both Ethnomusicology and Psychology. No, he doesn’t know what he will be doing after he graduates, thank you for asking though. Eventually he might work in a museum, teach, or move back in with his parents.
For a few years now Taylor has nursed an obsession with the Mountain Goats that borders on the insane. He is also a fan of Woody Allen movies, peanut brittle, Diet Dr. Pepper, and not dancing at parties.
Taylor plays in too many bands to really be reasonable: Varsouviana, The Elegant Bachelors, The Anakites, The Margins

Michael – michael@verbalgym.com
Michael is a fake English major at Indiana University, probably because a lot of his favorite people — who don’t do anything English-related — studied English in college. Michael is destined for nothing.
Michael has been making efforts to listen to less punk music, and I guess he’s doing okay in that regard. Michael roams around various musical circles in Cincinnati, OH and Bloomington, IN. He hosts a one hour punk show called The Panic Hour on WIUX 99.1 FM in Bloomington, which you can stream from anywhere here. The show’s new time for 2011 is currently being determined, but do not fret as it will return shortly. Michael mostly writes about shows he’s been to, albums that he likes, or how cool Ian Svenonius is, and he writes a column on this site called The Descendants.
